Phil Yates is Head Chef of Keavil House Hotel and manages the kitchen team of our Botanist Restaurant. Phil brings a wealth of experience to the cooking at Keavil House Hotel and has been serving up award winning dishes for over 20 years. Phil cooks with fresh local produce from Fife and Scotland and believes few places have a better natural larder than the farms, hills, seas and rivers of Scotland.
Our restaurant menus are inspired by Phil’s belief that when dining out you should experience food that you don’t cook in your own home and that you should leave feeling satisfied and surprised.
Our Head Chef, Phil Yates, has created an all-day menu which offers classic favourites using local and Scottish produce. The menu also includes gourmet sandwiches, amazing burgers, delicious salads, 28 day aged prime steaks and homemade desserts and Scottish cheese. Our restaurant terrace and garden have tables for outside dining. The Botanist at Keavil House is perfect for a casual lunch on Sunday or dinner on any evening. We offer a traditional Sunday roast lunch and a children’s menu is always available. You can make reservations online for Sunday lunch from 12.00pm to 2.00pm and for dinner each evening from 6.00pm to 9.00pm. We also have private dining rooms for your special event.
The Botanist restaurant is perfect for all types of celebrations and occasions. You can reserve a table for two for an anniversary or special occasion or you can reserve one of our private dining rooms for family & friends to celebrate birthdays, christenings, wedding anniversaries and retirements.
